Work with me

  • Meisner in Music

Meisner in Music is a New York City-based studio that nurtures artists to find trust in themselves and their instruments through the Meisner technique.

Founded by my dear friend and fellow teacher Jillian Paige, we teach group technique classes to a wide range of professional performers—Broadway actors, Opera singers, recording artists, and newer performers alike!

  • Voice Lessons

Looking to build a sustainable, exciting, and authentic vocal technique in a warm, playful, and trauma-informed environment? You’re in the right place!

Certified in Evidence-based Voicework, I am a voice scientist in disguise as a voice teacher. We’ll explore the use of primal sound, bodily engagement, breath work, and so much more to reveal the voice already inside of you!

  • Private Acting Coaching

Specializing in acting through song technique, we will explore how to meet your vocal technique work with the emotional connection and freedom necessary for authentic and expressive acting.

Through integrating Meisner technique and vocal technique work, you will discover a more deeply rooted, presently aware, and authentic experience with performing.

Student Testimonies

  • "Adam is the best teacher and support. Wanna sing, and love it, and enjoy it, and be proud of it? He’s your person!”

    - Maja Šivak

    Musical Theatre Artist

Acting Teacher at Creative Drama Studio Spain

  • "I’m in the virtual class currently with Adam and it’s amazing so far! The way they teach Meisner is really digestible and how they adapt the acting techniques for singers is extremely unique and highly effective. As someone who hasn’t performed in a really long time and always struggled with stage fright, this class is really helpful and will make me feel more confident going into auditions again. I’ve also done their teacher training program, which has improved my teaching techniques with my own vocal students. I would definitely recommend their classes!

    - Nikki Maas

Teacher and CEO of Inner Voice Collective

  • "Wow! This class has been a game changer for me. I take virtually and have taken from both Jillian and Adam. Both of their perspectives are unique and powerful. I have learned so much of value. This technique has really helped me get out of my own way while singing and I’ve noticed a huge difference in both auditions and performances. Thank you Meisner in Music! HIGHLY recommend."

Meisner in Music Teacher Certification

The Teacher Certification is a tiered program designed to help teachers of singing embolden their toolset with the Meisner in Music approach.

Adam was a lead developer of this training aimed at enabling teachers of singing to feel confident and qualified to teach acting alongside their vocal technique work with students. Though he loves working with performers, Adam is particularly fulfilled by helping teachers develop a holistic approach that addresses the needs and desires of their students as well as builds skills that carry far beyond the lesson space.

Level I training happens two times a year, once in the summer and again in the winter. Level II training covers five weekends over a nine-month period, designed to help teachers actively apply the tools of the Meisner in Music approach as they build their toolset. Adam teaches this training alongside his mentor and fellow educator, Jillian Paige.

Tu Experiencia Broadway

Winter Intensive January 2024

I had the opportunity to work with a full cohort of students for the 2024 January Intensive session of Tu Experiencia Broadway.

Eleven students from Colombia, Chile, Argentina, and Mexico joined me for a week-long Performance Technique class.

Psychology of Performance Intensives - Summer 2023 and Winter 2024, Meisner in Music

Facilitated Performance Intensives alongside leading Trauma Specialists, Therapists, LCSWs, and Somatics Experts like Monti Bianchi Wellness, Jay Colwell at the Singing Body Clinic, and more.

Students learned to work alongside performance anxiety and fear, deconstructed stories from their past, built a relationship of trust with their bodies and voices, and harnessed the power of present awareness in performance.
